PRIVACY
Privacy Policy
Effective: September 13, 2026
Dr. Paul’s ADHD Clinic respects the privacy and confidentiality of personal and personal health information. This policy explains how information submitted through our website and in connection with clinic services may be handled.
1. Privacy framework
Our privacy practices are intended to reflect applicable Canadian and New Brunswick privacy requirements, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) where applicable and New Brunswick’s Personal Health Information Privacy and Access Act (PHIPAA) where applicable to personal health information.
2. Information we may collect
We may collect contact and administrative information such as your name, email address, telephone number, age group of the person seeking assessment, appointment information, communications with the clinic, and information reasonably required to arrange or provide services. During clinical care, we may also collect personal health information necessary for assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up.
3. Website enquiry form
The website form is intended for general appointment enquiries. Please do not enter detailed or sensitive medical information in the website message field. Clinical information should be provided only through channels identified by the clinic for that purpose.
4. How information is used
Information may be used to respond to enquiries, arrange appointments, determine service needs, provide and coordinate clinical care, process administrative matters, maintain records, protect the security of our services, meet professional and legal obligations, and communicate with you about your care or request.
5. Consent and children
We seek consent appropriate to the nature and sensitivity of the information and the circumstances. Where a child or youth cannot provide legally meaningful consent, consent may be obtained from a parent, guardian or other authorized person as required by applicable law and professional standards.
6. Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Information may be disclosed to members of the care team and authorized service providers when reasonably necessary to provide or support services, and where permitted or required by law. Service providers may include secure technology, communications, scheduling, payment, record-management or hosting providers. Appropriate privacy and security requirements are expected when third parties process information on our behalf.
7. Safeguards
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so users should avoid sending sensitive clinical information through ordinary website forms or unencrypted email unless specifically instructed.
8. Retention
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and to meet applicable clinical, professional, legal and regulatory record-retention requirements. Information is then securely destroyed or de-identified where appropriate.
9. Cookies and website data
Our website may use essential cookies and limited technical information needed for security, performance and functionality. If analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking technologies are introduced, appropriate notice and consent choices should be provided where required.
10. Access, correction and privacy questions
You may ask about access to or correction of your personal information, subject to applicable law. You may also ask questions or raise a privacy concern by contacting the clinic at info@drpauladhd.ca or 506-897-5655. Requests involving clinical records may require identity verification.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services, technology or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on this page with its effective date.
